A fact of life in the City of Athens is that vehicles are towed, and on a regular basis. We at IBX consider the owner of an impounded vehicle to be our customer. We believe that the owner should be treated with the same respect and courtesy that someone requesting our service deserves. Vehicles are impounded for various reasons. Most common is due to police action or by parking enforcement. We do not engage in "patrol" type towing. A property owner or manager must call us to report the offending vehicle before we tow it.

To gain your vehicle back, you must do the following:
1. Obtain a release form from the impounding authority.
2. Provide proof of ownership or valid photo identification.
3. Pay the impound fees.
All impounds are CASH only. There are no exceptions.
Notice: The following fees do not apply to vehicles involved in Accidents, DUI Crash/Abandonment, or Owner requested services.

Questions & Answers

Q: Do you accept checks or credit cards?
A: No, cash is the only accepted form of payment for impounds.

Q: Why do I have to pay the show up or hook up fees?
A: Each time we are called, we go to the bottom of the rotation list. So we must
charge a fee for our time and effort in answering the call.

Q: Why do you charge an after hours fee? Aren't you a 24 hour company?
A: Yes service is available 24 hours, but the office is only open from 9-5                     Monday-Friday. After normal business hours we are on call only.

Q: I'm a poor college student, can I get a discount?
A: Athens is a town full of poor college students. Our prices are based on
current market conditions and state regulations. So, no.

Q: I did not get a release form, can I get my car anyway?
A: No, we must have the release form. Also, we do not call the impounding
authority to get a verbal release.
